The Christmas Cookie Story
In the winter of 1992, hacky sacks were still in style; Batman Returns, Lethal Weapon 3, and Sister Act were the top grossing movies at the box office; and Kern Island Insurance president, Steve Snitchler, had a client who was going through a tough financial time.
Steve’s wife, Dianne, an excellent cook, came up with an idea–he could take a plate of her delicious homemade Christmas cookies over to cheer them up. That’s just what he did, and they were a hit.
From then on, the idea snowballed. Today, for about 10 days out of the year, our office turns into a Christmas factory that churns out over 80 dozen cookies (and counting), as well as fudge and brittle. They are artfully placed on festive plates and are hand-delivered across the state of California to the office staff of every single one of our commercial clients. The peanut butter blossoms are a customer favorite.
Should we save a plate for you?
